With Nataniel Pereiro and Rosa Rodríguez, CEO and CFO of the company, they talk about where their project to start a technological SME was born more than 20 years ago. They also talk about their plans for the future, which include the deployment of fiber optics outside our borders, with a special focus on Germany. As of today, with a turnover of 11 million euros, Kyo Electric has just opened the doors of its new 5,000 square meter facility in León. They are currently in the process of internationalization in Europe and Latin America. In 2018 they inaugurated a new headquarters in Portugal, and since 2020 their main focus is the German market. There they have arrived there hand in hand with Telefónica’s subsidiary in that country, UGG (Unsere Grüne Glasfaser), to then serve other operators such as Deutsche Telekom and Deutsche GlassFase.
Against this backdrop, the company has grown by more than 433% between 2017 and 2020, with an average of 74.7% each year. Precisely, Financial Times has included them, for the third consecutive year, among the 1,000 fastest growing European companies, according to its FT1000 Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies ranking of 2022, with only 49 of them being Spanish.
The Chamber of Commerce of León presents the SME of the year awards, which in this seventh edition has recognized Kyo Electric, which designs and manufactures tools for telecommunications operators throughout Spain, among more than 50 small and medium-sized companies.

For the third consecutive year, Kyo Electric has been included by the prestigious Financial Times among one of the 1000 fastest growing European companies according to its FT1000 Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies ranking for 2022, with only 49 of them being Spanish. The ranking measures the cumulative growth between 2017 and 2020, as long as it meets a series of requirements: it must be organic, be an independent company, etc. Kyo grew 433.20% in the period, an average of 74.70% per year, which makes us very proud of the work done.
